About Us
Hi, I'm Matthew Davis - I'm a science specialist. I have a BSc Hons in Environmental Science and spent ten years in the logistics industry prior to my career change to education - and I haven't looked back. I teach Chemistry, Biology and Physics to GCSE with Chemistry and Biology at A Level.
I tutor with my wife Katherine, who is an experienced English teacher at a local secondary school. She has a BA Hons in English Language and German, and a MA in Creative Writing (Literary Fiction), as well as a PGCE in Secondary Education and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
We both attended local grammar schools, so know first-hand how beneficial a grammar school education can be to a child - but also how stressful the process can be, for parents and students alike. We aim to create a low anxiety environment for our students, and hope that they feel happy and confident to discuss with us their difficulties or misconceptions to allow us to best support and guide them.
